Down the Road with Rick Rhoads2010 marks the beginning of a new era in outdoor television entertainment. The cameras of BackRhoads Productions will be capturing real-life hunts as they unfold naturally in the wild. Many episodes will feature the clients and guides of BackRhoads Outfitting as they pursue giant Whitetails in Oklahoma and Kansas, trophy Pronghorn in the Texas Panhandle, and bugling elk and huge Mule Deer in New Mexico. Although a season's worth of television can be created on BackRhoads properties alone, in the interest of variety, our teams will travel the world hunting and fishing a myriad of interesting places. Many episodes will combine hunting and fishing, such as Osceola turkeys and saltwater flats fishing for Tarpon in Florida; Merriam's turkeys with fly-fishing for big Rainbow Trout; and Rio Grande turkeys and a mixed bag from Oklahoma fisheries. There will be a continuing focus on bringing a wide array of tips, tactics, and techniques in an entertaining format with broad appeal to outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. Modern and traditional archery equipment, rifles, and muzzleloaders will all be used as appropriate; spot and stalk hunting will be emphasized, and tree stands and blinds will be used as necessary. Saltwater and freshwater fishing are both a big part of the show and will be done from boats, by wading, with fly rods, spinning rods, and bows and just about every means legal, ethical, and available! There will also be a weekly segment - "Tips from the Road" - hosted by JT and Jenna with tips on everything from travel to tree stand safety.
